The Academy’s lead instructor is Nathen Mazri, entrepreneur, licensing disruptor, and founder of eGeez Technologies Inc. Nathen is widely recognized as one of the youngest innovators in global licensing. From working directly with Jim Davis, creator of Garfield, to launch GarfieldEATS and then Paramount/Nickelodeon, as well as Scooby-DooEATS with Warner Bros. as a licensee himself all the way to building the eGeez marketplace launching in 2025.
Nathen then identified a gap in the licensing industry — creating a platform that connects fans directly with official licensees, putting authentic licensed products right at their fingertips; while conducting field research in licensed consumer products evaluating over 40,000 licensed SKUs by hundreds of licensees worldwide for the last decade. Nathen Mazri is now leading ambitious licensed landmarks and real-estate projects at eGeez World with global icons valued over $1 billion representing exclusively renowned cartoons like Smurfs, emoji, Mr. Bean and many more
In his early days, Nathen Mazri worked with branding legends Laura and Al Ries, and by 25 had already founded and sold his own ad agency.
Nathen's experience as a disruptive licensee entrepreneur himself across food, tech, media, and licensing gives learners a unique window into how licensing operates at the highest levels.
Nathen began his academic journey studying Economics at Concordia University, then pursued a specialization in Branding at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He further advanced his studies at Southern New Hampshire University before completing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Yorkville University in Canada.
Mr. Mazri is now advancing his studies at the University of London in Law, specializing in corporate law with a unique focus on licensing — positioning himself at the forefront of the global licensing industry.
